The process of casting
So if you are wondering why our prices are a little cheaper than our competitors
(A) We are not VAT registered , a 20% saving because our turnover is relatively low
(B) WE keep our cost’s low by casting our rings from 50% casting grain 50% old gold
(C) Our crest engravings are not entirely done by hand , but with a fiber laser machine
Fairbairn’s Crests
Unlike other sellers of crest rings , we do not profess to be experts in English heraldry
Our reduced prices reflect this , as we do not spend time looking up your family history
Your local library will usually have a copy of Fairbairn’s Book Of Family Crests
We will look up your name and source a coresponding crest FREE OF CHARGE with no guarantee of its relevance to your families entitlement, but prefer you send your own
